WELCOME!

Hello, and welcome to the Walker Thomas Gospel website!  I am so thrilled that you have chosen to visit.

Prior to my retirement in February 2009, I was spending at least 2 nights a week at the emergency room being treated for elevated blood pressure. When I began attending Sunday School and studying the Word regularly, I began to understand what a great and precious friend God is.  The elevated blood pressure is always with me, but I realized that this is nothing compared to King Jesus' suffering.  I started asking God for direction.  I would pray and ask God to heal me.  I changed my way of thinking.  I told God, "Your Word cannot fail.  When you heal me I will spend the rest of my days spreading Your Word."

Some time later I began asking God to tell me what He wanted me to do - to lead me.  I continued to pray for His direction.  Several weeks later I went to bed one evening and God spoke to me.  He said, "I gave you a talent; use it to spread My message."

I have my assignment.  My mission is clear.  It doesn't matter how much time I have left.  What does matter is what I do with that time to keep my promise to the Ever-living God.  The King of kings.

Again, welcome to the Walker Thomas Gospel website.  I hope you'll visit often!

Frank, I believe I served on HRC, under your leadership, for six years. Every decision I ever knew you to make showed me you were living for Christ. I am happy to know you are now devoting your singing talents to share your love for Him with others. I have read your biography and blog message. Thus far, I have listened to only one of your songs, but I plan to listen to all of them many times in the near future. Best wishes to you and all of your family!

Everyone needs some activity or endeavor that generates excitement in their life. I do not fully understand where you are going with this, however, you have made a start. Too many people have gifts and never act upon them. What I have experienced is when you act on your goal or vision and truly have passion for it, God allows the universe to conspire with you. Suddenly ideas and resources began to show up. This won't happen overnight but your dreams will become realities if you stick to your plan.

The site is pretty good. The music caters to an older audience. This audience may not have as much computer savvy as the younger generation. As a result, your exposure may be limited. I realize that this is a start. As your site grows, I am sure you will find ways to increase your audience base.

Frank: Music is a talent I was not aware that you had. I am very impressed. When you are famous and rolling in money, I hope you will still remember those of us "who knew you back when." Ha! Seriously, I am impressed by your talent and wish you great success. I'm also happy to know that your health has improved and pray that will continue, too.

An old friend,
Paulwyn

Dear Frank,

My wife brought up your website, and I found it to be extremely interesting. I hope you found my book to be of interest to you.

Frank, I really have enjoyed everything that I have read and heard, your story is very inspiring, no one should give up on their dreams after reading that.
I thought the first song was my favorite until I kept listening, now I can't choose. Keep on keeping on, you are and have been a blessing to everyone that you come in contact with.

I very much appreciate your spirit and what you are doing for the LORD and I am sure it will reach many people. As for my own taste, I was born at the end of the Depression and raised on Big Band and Standard Hymns. I am just not qualified to comment on the music. I never did get Elvis or Buddy Holly and although I was born in the same month and year as James Brown, I did not quite get his music either. My taste is obviously “out of step” with millions of others.
I listened to all of the songs in each group. I was pleased to be able to understand the words and they have meaning. Most music today is mostly garbled syllables which my ears can not distinguish into words. Given my poor ear and general background, I found the “nothing but the blood” very familiar. The background provided by the Melodians on their seven songs was clear and great harmony, and I enjoyed the tempo of both You Gotta Move and On My Way. Your voice sounded great.
As I say, I am not qualified to comment on music, but the voice is good and the words are sincere. God speed to you.

Mr. Thomas,

I had heard about your hidden talent, but had no idea that it was so grand. You are truly blessed with the gift of song. Now that you are retired, and missed by this former employee, you have much more time to focus on the talent you have been blessed with. May you continue to touch each person who hears your music.
