This past Sunday (early morning service) pastor Ea-sterling spoke from the book of Genesis, chapter 12; verses 1-3. The subject was "purpose in our lives". "Now the lord had said unto Abram get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred and from thy fathers house unto a land that I will shew thee. And I will make of thee a great nation and I will bless thee, make thy name great and thou shalt be a blessing; an I will bless them that bless thee; and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Reverend Ea sterling reminded us that each of us have a talent, and added that we must find that purpose or talent and use it to bless someone else. I came away with a better understanding of how I or anyone else must pray to God, and use whatever talent that we have to bless others as God has and is blessing us. Thank you so much pastor.
We had a wonderful rehearsal this evening. Arthur on keyboard, Chuck on bass and Lindsey Wright on drums. What makes it so wonderful is that Lindsey can play the drums and sing like a mockingbird. Now you take me I can't play anything. This evening God was truly with us.
A few weeks ago I told you all about one of my fellow gym members, Curtis Jones, and his upcoming trip to Andalusia, AL to compete in the SNBF Championship.
Here are a couple of photos he wanted to share that illustrate his hard work. Great job, Curtis!
I took part in today's church service at the Old Storm Branch church in North Augusta where Rev. Nathaniel Irvin is the pastor. From the moment I stepped inside the church the atmosphere seemed to be "on-fire". It was apparent that the congregation was on one accord to lift up the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will give you an update on this tomorrow.
